Aromatic Scent: The warm, spicy aroma of Allspice Essential Oil is similar to that of clove and cinnamon essential oils. The high content of Eugenol is partly responsible for this similarity.
Practical uses: Allspice essential oil may be used to assist in relieving digestive troubles and to lift depression. When used in an aroma burner or vaporizer, allspice oil helps to lift spirits and allay anxiety. In very small amounts, Allspice essential oil may be added to massage oil, wherein it is useful in alleviating muscle stiffness. Allspice essential oil mixed with a carrier oil may also be massaged into the chest to relieve chest congestion and other cold symptoms.
Description: Allspice, also called Jamaica pepper, pepper, myrtle pepper, pimenta, or newspice, is a spice that is the dried unripe fruit ("berries") of Pimenta dioica, a mid-canopy tree native to the Greater Antilles, southern Mexico, and Central America, now cultivated in many warm parts of the world.
